As a reminder, for organizations with at least one employee working in New York, the Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefit went into effect January 1, 2018. New York State has provided an email with links to information on the new PFL benefit. The email also includes links to pre-recorded webinars and slide decks for employees and employers.
Private insurance carriers and the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) have automatically updated their NY Disability Benefits Law (DBL) policies to include coverage for the NY PFL benefit.
