The District of Columbia Employer Transit Benefit Ordinance went into effect on January 1, 2016. The Ordinance requires all DC employers with 20 or more employees to offer qualified transportation benefits to their employees. The DC Department of Employment Services will begin enforcing the Ordinance on April 1, 2016.

For more information, please review Keller’s July article or visit the Commuter Transit Ordinance page provided by goDCgo, an initiative of the DC Department of Transportation. The goDCgo website has links to several free resources, including a Commuter Benefits Information Session hosted by the DC Department of Employment Services on February 11, 2016 at 10 am. If you are a DC employer and do not yet have a qualified transportation program in place, please contact your Keller account team to discuss the available options.
